5 – William Saliba has literally changed the atmosphere
The final one from me and I’ll keep it short because this was just a really nice thing to see at long last.
After heading the ball into his own net, you’d expect the Emirates to erupt in anger and nerves as Arsenal tried to shake off a dodgy dip in form.
But the result here was exactly the opposite, and if anything the own goal forced made him angrier which allowed him to put in an even better performance.
The nerves didn’t get to Saliba and nor did the crowd, who immediately cheered Saliba the moment the own goal went in.
Now tell me that would’ve been the same outcome if it was David Luiz or Shkodran Mustafi? Exactly my point!
