2 – Saka & Odegaard can afford to play in cruise control

Watching this game and realising this was a big deal for a lot of us though.

Last season with a centre forward in Alex Lacazette and barely anyone to call on from the bench, it was down to Odegaard and Saka to be at 110% at all times.

We became so heavily reliant on the duo that any slight chance of an injury left us all wincing – but those days are gone and Saturday proved that.

Saka and Odegaard had a fairly uneventful day against Leicester but seeing Jesus and Martinelli turn it on allowed that to be absolutely okay.

The added arrivals of Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos is going to allow Arteta to rotate easily during the Europa League, ensuring other players have the break they need to be at their best.
