Not Balotelli: Three Strikers Arsenal Could Sign

1. Jackson Martinez

With Rademel Falcao out injured from the world cup, it was Jackson Martinez’s time to step up for his country Colombia and show the world what qualities he has. In the group stages, the Porto striker managed to score 2 goals versus japan and contribute to a fantastic start for the South Americans to this 2014 world cup. I haven’t seen too much of the Colombian striker as he is currently playing in Portugal for Fc Porto, however his record speaks for itself, as he has scored 46 goals in 60 appearances which sounds incredible, and has impressed in European competitions playing in the Champions league and the Europa league. Porto signed the striker for £11 million, so they will be looking to make a hefty profit on the player and as he has a £35 million buyout clause, Arsenal will need to splash the cash on the impressive striker and beat other premier league rivals to the race for his signature.

Reports from Portugal are saying that Arsenal value the player at £20 million and not the buyout clause of £35 million, however the good news is that Jackson Martinez has apparently spoken to Portuguese press and expressed how much he would love to move to London and play for Arsenal. The striker will consider his future after the world cup and said he is fully focused on Colombia right now and nothing else. Use the page numbers below to navigate through the rest of the article.
