AM – Mesut Ozil
The magician. Mesut was wonderful for Germany at the Euros and although he will miss the start of the season due to extended holiday, I have no doubts that he will come in and regain his number 10 spot immediately. His goal against Italy really excited me, because for all of his creative talent, he rarely makes instinctive attacking moves and his late run into the box against Italy followed by a cool finish encouraged me that he can score more goals for Arsenal next season. If we continue to play with just one striker Mesut needs to make more runs like this and get himself on the scoresheet more regularly, if he can add that to his game then he can truly be considered amongst the very greatest to have worn an Arsenal shirt. I hope this is the season he orchestrates this team to the title.
