CM –Â Granit Xhaka
Our only signing of the summer so far that is likely to feature in the first team next season. We all got to see what Granit was about at the Euros earlier this summer. His penalty miss aside, the Swiss international performed at a very high level. He is capable of playing in a number of midfield roles but he was very impressive in the deepest lying position for Switzerland, where he dictated play whilst also using his physical attributes to bully the opposition. Arsenal have lacked a midfielder with both the bite and technical quality in recent years, but the addition of Xhaka changes that. Aged just 23 his signing really excites me. He plays with maturity and has all the attributes to continue improving and become one of the best holding midfielders in Europe.
