Arsenal have already secured the signings of Mathieu Debuchy and Alexis Sanchez this summer, but Arsene Wenger remains in the hunt for more new arrivals ahead of the new season. With the Emirates Cup set to begin at the start of August, I will take a look at three players who could join before the end of the month.
1. David Ospina
Arsenal are in talks to sign Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina as competition for Woijech Szczesny next season. The clubs are believed to be in advanced talks over a deal. The Colombian goalkeeper, 25, has been impressive in the last 12 months and could be available for just £3million. For his age he has racked up some impressive experience, managing 44 caps for his country and 177 games for Nice. At 6ft, Ospina is on the short side for a goalkeeper, but is well known for his impressive reflexes and agility between the sticks. Ospina is Arsene Wenger’s first choice goalkeeping addition, and a deal looks like it would be relatively simple to conclude. Use the navigation below to reveal the rest of this article.
