3. Javi Manquillo
20-year-old Manquillo is highly rated in Spain and could join the Gunners on loan for the season, with the possibility of making the move permanent. He is a 5ft 9 right back started seven times for Atletico’s first team last season, after being a regular in their ‘B’ side. Marseille were also heavily interested in making the player their first choice right back for next season, so he is clearly talented. It is not known what fee Arsenal will be able to sign Manquillo for if they want to, but it is unlikely to be a large amount. Arsenal have also agreed to sign Mathieu Debuchy and so two new right backs could arrive at Arsenal this summer, with Carl Jenkinson and Hector Bellerin likely to be loaned to Premier League or Championship clubs as they look to gain some experience.
The Gunners are also in the market for a defensive midfielder and a central defender as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
