Player Ratings: Arsenal 1-0 Watford

It was a frustrating first half for Arsenal and in particular, captain Aubameyang. His fumble on the ball saw Arsenal miss out on an early goal.

Auba then soon had a chance to redeem himself from the spot, when Danny Rose, who amazingly survived a first-half booking following 4 fouls, smashed into Lacazette off the ball.

In the second half though, Arsenal got their breakthrough. A line-breaking run-through from Ben White saw the ball fall to Emile Smith Rowe who netted for the third successive Premier League game.

Arsenal then had chances to kill the game but could not convert. Ultimately though, the Gunners held on for a crucial 3 points to lift them to 5th in the table.

Man of the match: Ben White. Close one, AMN and Smith Rowe both did very well too, but White was very solid in defence, and his line-breaking ball carry helped to create the vital goal.

Flop of the match: Aubameyang. No words are needed.
