Leandro Trossard was announced as a new Arsenal player on Friday after completing his move this morning.
The Gunners were searching for attacking reinforcements this month and in 28-year-old Trossard, they will hope they have a versatile option that is ready to hit the ground running.
The fee in this deal of £21million plus add ons is attractive to Arsenal given this is a Premier League proven player that can play in all three attacking positions, as well as in attacking midfield. It provides crucial depth for the side, in a window where Arsenal were repeatedly being quoted 100million euros for alternative targets.
Edu Gaspar had to find some value and in this deal I believe he has. It may also allow for the club to complete a deal for Ivan Fresneda this month. The Spanish right-back’s arrival would allow Cedric Soares to move to Fulham.
Elsewhere, Jakub Kiwior is set to join the club in another £20million deal.
