Biglia is somewhat of a late bloomer. The 29 year old spent much of his career in Belgium, but since his move to Lazio he has excelled, attracting interest from several top European clubs. At 29, he would be an experienced addition to the midfield and that would perhaps be welcomed with Arteta and Flamini on the way out. Lazio will be reluctant to sell, but if contract talks do not go well, which are planned for later this month – then the club may choose to cash in. Arsenal have the funds to tempt Biglia, and also the Champions League status. Despite being 29, I am confident we are yet to see the best of Biglia, with him improving a lot in recent seasons – he has the potential to play at the top level well into his 30’s.
