Boost For Arsenal As 3 Key Midfielders Return To Training Ahead Of Hull Clash

Arsenal have been handed a timely injury boost with the return of injured trio Theo Walcott, Serge Gnabry and Mikel Arteta.

Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny have returned from international duty with injuries but Arsenal do have some positive news with all three of Walcott, Gnabry and Arteta returning to training before the Hull clash, Wenger confirmed:

“Theo is not too far away now,” said Wenger. “Serge has been out for a long, long time and Theo has also been out for nine months, so it’s good to see them back. They’ve worked very hard and they’re very dedicated. They are back in the group on a daily basis and that’s very good news.

“For Ramsey it’s day 13 today and I think it will be day 21 before he is back into training. Arteta may be back with the group late next week.”

The Hull game looks like to will come too quickly for Mikel Arteta, but Walcott and Gnabry could be on the bench. All three of the trio should be available for Arsenal’s midweek clash against Anderlecht, a game which is a must win.

Walcott and Gnabry will bring much needed pace to the Arsenal team and whilst Mikel Arteta’s legs are starting to go (a bit) he’s still a useful option in defensive midfield, an area where Arsenal are currently very short of options. Let’s hope all can slot back into the first team quickly and easily and stay fit! It’s been horrible for Gnabry and Walcott to be on the sidelines for so long, so let’s make sure we are patient with the talented duo.
