3. Abou Diaby
The obvious choice to solve Arsenal’s midfield problems because of his physicality and stature something which Arsenal fans saw in Matic against Chelsea. Matic towered over Arsenals midfield on the weekend, something that is said we lack, height. He is almost a Yaya Toure type player because of his strength, height and power when on the ball. The only problem with Diaby is he much too injury prone and can’t solve the problem long-term because he is constantly getting injured.
My opinion to solving Arsenal’s midfield problem is play Diaby at defensive midfield until the January transfer market and hope Wenger signs a new defensive midfield, especially as it looks likely Wenger may sign Sami Khedira in either January or in the summer.
