Mesut Ozil
The £42.5m signing from Real Madrid has finally awoken in this half of the season, after many branded the German as a disappointment and failing to justify his price tag.
Ozil was voted PFA Fans Player of the Month for April for his efforts last month and rightly so. He’s also in the run in for the PFA Fans Player of the Season award too, along with his two other team mates Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez.
His season was interrupted with a knee injury after the 2-0 defeat away to Chelsea, but has come back by force since January, getting himself 5 goals and 9 assists in all competitions so far. Many will expect the world-class talent to push on from his re-emergence next season and take the Premier League by storm.
