Nacho Monreal
Monreal has been one of Arsenal’s surprise packages of the 2014/15 campaign, after a rocky beginning to the season when he was deployed as a make-shift centre back, in the absence of Koscielny.
Since then, the Spaniard has enjoyed a consistent run of game in his favoured left-back position, keeping his English counterpart Kieran Gibbs on the bench with some assured defensive performances. He may not be the greatest attacking full-back but he has impressed in some occasions this season going forward.
A notable example is his exquisite finish against Manchester United at Old Trafford, during their FA Cup quarter-final tie.
Monreal has adapted and developed well in his position since coming from Malaga back in 2013, and will continue to compete for his place next season.
