3. Wages
It is believed that Cashley’s wages are somewhere in the region of £100-£120,000 a week. Taking in to account his age, I can’t imagine Arsène Wenger would be willing to offer wages similar to that of Mesut Özil’s in order to acquire his services. He might be willing to take a slight pay cut, but let us not forget, money is an important factor for Cole.
4. Dedication
We want to sign players that are going to take the club forward and play for the badge on the front of the shirt, and that requires dedication and an affinity with Arsenal. It is important, to me at least, that the players are playing for Arsenal because of what the club means to them, as well as achieving their own personal accolades. What does the club mean to Ashley? At this point, he is looking for a club to get a couple more years of wages in his bank account and play a bit more Champions League football.
