Dušan Tadić, a Serbian national, is known for his dribbling skills and is a versatile footballer to boot. He can play on either side of midfield as well as a winger or supporting striker. Having played with the youth team of AIK Bačka Topola, he signed his first professional contract with FK Vojvodvina in 2002 at the age of 14. Tadić joined Vojvodvina’s senior team in 2006 and gained experience playing against top-flight teams such as Atlético Madrid. He played almost four seasons without any major injuries or accidents, during which he played in 107 games and scored 29 goals. In 2010 Tadić was sold to FC Groningen where he played for two seasons before being sold to Twente in April 2012. Since joining Twente, Tadić has scored 28 goals in 66 appearances.
He was first named in the Serbian national team in 2009 and has been a regular fixture in the squad and team since 2009. He currently holds 25 caps for Serbia as well as scoring six goals; his most recent goal was against Jamaica in the pre-World Cup friendly in May 2014.
