1. Didier Drogba
Hear me out, at least we haven’t suggested Salomon Kalou. Arsenal need a striker, Drogba needs a club. The Gunners would benefit from his experience and talent up front, while it would also annoy the hell out of *that* lot in West London. What’s more perfect than getting revenge for them taking Fabregas by nicking one of their club legends.
Albeit the Chelsea record books aren’t that long but Drogba is one of the top names. He scored the winning goal in the shoot-out when they won the Champions League in Bayern’s backyard and is adored by the Blues faithful. While at Stamford Bridge, he made a habit out of scoring against us. It’s time he gave something back.
Imagine Drogba scoring in front of the fans at Stamford Bridge. Priceless. That on it’s own is a reason to swoop for Drogba but given the names Arsenal have been linked with, fans are likely to be upset with the arrival of an ageing star. Still, Arsenal need help up front and Drogba would provide just that. Not the ideal signing by any stretch of the imagination but, if it came down to it, we’d rather have him than nothing.
