The Ox leaving to a rival? It is now looking almost certain after the player reportedly turned down a much-improved contract offer from Arsenal. He has less than a year remaining on his current contract and with Chelsea and Liverpool reportedly interested at around £35million, it’s hard to argue against the Gunners selling a very inconsistent player, though selling someone with his potential to a rival is far from ideal. Arsenal fans will not be keen to see him succeed elsewhere in England and with no signs of a major replacement, it will not please the fans to see this one go through. The latest reports suggest Arsenal will opt to sell the Ox to Chelsea, whom are willing to pay a massive £40million for the player.
