Arsenal have made it a priority to try and sign Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez (The Athletic).
The 24-year-old is predominantly a centre-back, but as our video explores, standing at just 5ft 9 inches, he could be more suited to play as a left-back for the Gunners.
He provides a good amount of versatility with the ability to also play in defensive midfield.
As our video explores, Lisandro is excellent with the ball at his feet and at bringing it forward. He certainly appears to be a player that would help greatly in Arteta’s desire to be a team that dominates the ball.
The Athletic also reports that Arsenal have already had a 30million euro bid knocked back by Ajax.
If he arrived Lisandro would add competition to Gabriel for the left centre-back role, whilst also providing competition to Tierney at left-back. Nuno Tavares could leave the club on loan this summer, with the likes of Atalanta interested.
