John Terry is as shocked as we are that Chelsea are set to let Petr Cech join Arsenal – and he has spoken out about how good a signing it will be for the Gunners.
Terry thinks Cech could give Arsenal a boost of 12 to 15 points a season, and the Gunners coincidentally finished 12 points behind Chelsea last season. Cech would be a very good addition, everyone knows that – but the words coming from Terry makes you realise just how big a signing Cech will be.
In an interview with TalkSPORT Terry said: “If they do get him, he will strengthen them for sure, he will save them 12 or 15 points a season. Petr was an unbelievable professional last year. When you get left out of the team it can be hard to accept but when he came in he was exceptional.
“He deserves a lot of credit for that. We understand he wants to play first-team football but nobody wants to see him leave the club. He’s going to be sorely missed and will improve any side he goes to.”
Terry also spoke of Cech’s ‘unbelievable’ attitude and response after being dropped for Courtois last season.

Cech, 33 is set to join Arsenal and a deal should be concluded by the end of the week. Reports recently emerged that Chelsea would only net £4million from Cech’s sale, after agreeing to pay the player half of the transfer fee as a loyalty bonus.
