3. Home Kit: 1999-2000
This is the second home kit from Arsenal’s new sponsor, Dreamcast. The design is identical to the last kit sponsored by JVC. Maybe Nike just couldn’t be bothered to think up a new design as their next kit, which lasted from 2000-2002, was almost identical to this one; the blue stripes altering position subtly and the socks changing to white. It should be noted that the sponsorship from Dreamcast lasted as long as the inspiration of the Nike designers; albeit when the last Dreamcast shirt was cast off it also marked the end of ‘The Invincibles’ period.
