1. Our play in the final third needs to be quicker and more incisive:
Against Leicester Arsenal got into some very good positions and openings in front of the Foxes back line. From defence through to midfield we played the ball through the lines quickly and Cazorla, Ozil and Ramsey often found themselves with time to influence the game. Had they been quicker on the ball and more incisive with an intent to play more directly to the Leicester goal we may have created more clear-cut chances though. Whenever Arsenal were in the final third it seemed as though there was a lack of movement and space to create and as a result the Gunners often resorted to playing sideways. This completely slows the game down and makes it very difficult to create clear-cut openings, yesterday we had 24 shots on goal but many were unrealistic and from tight or unlikely angles. I’m sure it’ll come later on the season, but at the moment the Arsenal forwards don’t seem top be quite on the same wavelength and our attacking intent needs to be improved if we are going to of something this season.
