Morgan Schneiderlin could be about to complete a move to Arsenal after he admitted negotiations were underway and that he hopes to complete a move to an unnamed Premier League club in the coming days.
Arsenal or Manchester United look set to sign Schneiderlin after the 25 year old admitted a move was close.
The Gunners were expected to swiftly tie up a deal for Schneiderlin this summer, but the asking price of £25million had put off Arsene Wenger. Perhaps Geoffrey Kondogbia’s move to Inter Milan has accelerated Wenger’s move for Schneiderlin, as alternative options are slim.
Earlier today we reported the news that Southampton had agreed to sell Schneiderlin.
A flurry of bets on Wednesday saw Schneiderlin odds on to join Arsenal – and his comments on the same day have only further fuelled the speculation.
“The negotiations are ongoing and should be completed in the coming days,” the player told France Bleu Alsace radio station.
“Hopefully before the resumption of [Southampton’s pre-season] training next week.”

Signing up Petr Cech and Schneiderlin before pre-season starts would be a huge boost for The Gunners. It would allow the new team to gel comfortably before the season kicks off with only one more addition likely (a forward). With those two additions, before July 1 – that’s a quality window so far, we don’t need much more, just keep our best players.
Arsenal could then turn their attentions to signing up Theo Walcott to a new contract.
