Believe it or not, Holding has actually come up against the Gunners in recent years so it wouldn’t be a surprise to hear Wenger bragging about his admiration from a young age.
Holding featured for the Bolton Under-21’s in the Premier League and faced the Gunners on several occasions during the 2012/13 season.
Although that might not pay any relevance to his transfer this summer, it does tell us that he’ll have got a feel for life the Arsenal way, and shows he understands what he’ll be coming in to.
