2 – International Experience
His sudden rise into the first team didn’t go unnoticed, and when Everton’s Brendan Galloway picked up an injury, Holding was the first to get the call from England’s Under-21’s.
Gareth Southgate made the decision to bring the youngster in for their international tournament in Toulon which the Three Lions went on to scoop victory.
Despite getting the call late on into the season, Holding picked up two appearances whilst out in France whilst gaining important experience of how things work in the national setup.
The challenges pushed Holding on to perform better in training and now he has become an established asset in the Under-21’s which can only be a good thing for the upcoming season.
