2 – Jonny Evans
It was only a matter of time before this one popped up again. The West Brom defender has been on Arsenal’s radar for a number of years and with Manchester City said to be readying a £30million bid for the defender, Arsenal have reportedly joined the race. Leicester City had a £21million bid rejected for Evans a few weeks ago, and it is thought that it would take £30million for West Brom to accept, though they already have a replacement in place in Tottenham’s Kevin Wimmer. West Brom seem to have accepted that they will part with Evans, but is £30million too much for the 29-year-old? With the Gunners losing Gabriel and possibly Mustafi, they will be looking for another defender in the closing days of the window and Evans is a former target. It’s expected that Arsenal would offer Evans more first team football than Manchester City could.
