Season Prediction:
If he performs anything like he did towards the end of last season then we’ve got something really good to look forward to in Mo Elneny this year. He won two Player of the Month awards in the time between joining the club at the end of January and the end of the season, so that’s a fantastic omen. This season will be all about fitting into the team and finding out what role he will bring to the club.
Player Objectives:
To show us and Wenger why he deserves to start ahead of Xhaka, and he’ll be given plenty of opportunities to do exactly that with Champions League and cup football.
Best Attributes:
Calmness on the ball in that area of the pitch is something a top class team needs, and his link-up play with the back four is what is helping us turn defence into attack.
Weak Areas:
It’s been hard to see any weaknesses since Elneny joined but he needs to improve how commanding he is in and around that midfield, I don’t think oppositions see his name on the team-sheet and are concerned yet.
