Report Card: Hector Bellerin

Hector Bellerin Report Card 2016

  • Age: 21
  • Position: Right Full-Back
  • Squad #: 24
  • Height: 5ft 10in

Season Prediction:

This season has got Bellerin written all over it, and after a couple of seasons in the first-team it’s hard to imagine the starting sheet without him. The surprise stay of Mathieu Debuchy will only act as a good thing for the youngster, he’ll still have someone challenging for his spot in the team. He’s already proved himself so now it’ all about upping his game to the next level and being able to hold off some more of the big boys in Champions League games.

Player Objectives:

Establish himself as the number one man not just for this season, but for years to come, because if he’s keeping out experienced players at the age of 21 then who knows what he’s capable of. This is a player Arsenal really need, he’s young, talented and loves the club so it’s vital they try and get a contract extension on the player immediately.

Best Attributes:

Going forward is what he loves to do and being the quickest player in the squad has its benefits when tracking back, in fact I can’t count how many times he saved us last year.

Weak Areas:

Whilst everything is good whilst attacking, his work around the other end of the pitch needs some fine-tuning, and positioning himself is a big concern at times. Bellerin often gets tempted to drift into the centre and leave himself for dead with players in behind him wanting the ball.
