Report: Arsenal ‘working hard’ to complete two deals that will cost in excess of £60m

Arsenal’s summer transfer window plans have really accelerated this week, with lots of news coming from the club about bids being made.

The Gunners have been busy bidding and having bids rejected, and now they appear ready to try and close some deals and seal signings early.

Earlier this week it was reported that Arsenal saw their £40million bid for Brighton defender Ben White, rejected. Despite this, Arsenal appear to have confidence that they can complete a deal for White.

That is according to The Standard who say that despite a bid being knocked back, Arsenal are working hard to bring White in. The 23-year-old could cost as much as £50million, but there is a feeling that Arsenal and Brighton will come to an agreement.

The same report in The Standard suggests that after seeing a £13million bid for Albert Sambi Lokonga rejected, the Gunners are also working hard to sign the 21-year-old midfielder.

Anderlecht are reportedly looking for £17.2million. With the two clubs not far apart, you could expect an agreement to be reached between the two clubs in the coming days.

Captain for Anderlecht, Lokonga is very highly rated and viewed as a central midfield option for Arsenal, after they let Dani Ceballos return from loan to Real Madrid.

With White likely to cost between £45million and £50million and Lokonga between £15million and £20million, Arsenal look set to splash more than £60million on two signings, and that looks set to be just the start of their business.
