Arsenal are having a very busy transfer deadline day and it looks like another player will be leaving the club in the coming hours.
Arsenal are in talks over a deal that sees Icelandic goalkeeper Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson move to Belgian club OH Leuven according to Mike McGrath from The Telegraph.
So, ‘here we go’ #DeadlineDay
Outgoing predictions:?Nelson to seal loan move
?Eddie gets a move (Brighton or Bundesliga)
?Runarsson to be loaned somewhere
?Bellerin to Barca or Betis— PB (@OliPriceBates) August 30, 2021
Sam Dean from The Telegraph has since confirmed that the deal for Runarsson would be a loan.
Arsenal signed Alex Runarsson for £1million last summer, but the young goalkeeper failed to prove he was a good enough backup to Bernd Leno.
Arsenal loaned Mat Ryan in January in order to take Runarsson’s place on the bench and have now signed Aaron Ramsdale.
Couple that with the promotion of academy goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and there was clearly no future for Alex at the club.
Arsenal are hoping to seal a move away for Runarsson on deadline day.

It’s set to be an extremely busy day for the club with defender Tomiyasu set to arrive from Bologna and both Reiss Nelson and Hector Bellerin currently undergoing medicals ahead of leaving the club.
We are still not clear on the futures of Eddie Nketiah, Alexandre Lacazette and Ainsley Maitland-Niles. Arsenal are thought to be open to offers to all three, so let’s see how the day progresses.
