Player Ratings: Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Arsenal won an important North London Derby on Sunday afternoon. Mikel Arteta decided to discipline Aubameyang after he was late to the pre-match preparations.

Arsenal started in dominating fashion but fell behind to a brilliant Erik Lamela goal. But the Gunners bounced back before halftime with Martin Odegaard’s deflected shot finding its way in after a Kieran Tierney cross.

In the second half Arsenal scored what turned out to be the winning goal with Lacazette converting from the penalty spot.

Bernd Leno – 7
Cedric Soares – 7
David Luiz – 7
Gabriel Magalhaes – 8
Kieran Tierney – 9
Thomas Partey – 7
Granit Xhaka – 7
Bukayo Saka – 6
Martin Odegaard – 9
Emile Smith Rowe – 9

Man of the match: Martin Odegaard. There were several brilliant performances today but Odegaard just pips the likes of Smith Rowe and Tierney to man of the match because of his goal, his second this week.

Flop of the match: Bukayo Saka. Harsh to give any flop after a game like this but Saka was subbed off at halftime, presumably because he was struggling with fitness.
