I think everyone knows how good he is, especially for his goal tally at International level for France and club level with Real Madrid . Overshadowed by Bale and Ronaldo, Benzema may be interested in becoming a crucial first team player. At club level, Benzema has scored 138 goals in 206 games for Lyon B, Lyon and Real Madrid, which is a good rate of goals when he plays with the likes of Ronaldo. Last year, it was reported that we were going for him, and he would be an Arsenal player ‘By the end of the week’. Well that never happened. I personally would love to see Benzema walk onto the Emirates pitch with an Arsenal shirt, because he is THAT world class player we have been begging Arsenal to buy. After signing a new 5 year deal in August, his price could be anywhere around £40million, but i personally think he is worth it. He doesn’t track back too well (Which is opposite to Welbeck at the moment), but he has a clinical shot and has already be-friended Ozil at Real Madrid, as well as the French contingent at Arsenal (Mainly Koscienly, Giroud and Debuchy) He would be a much better option to buy instead of Cavani, because Benzema is still getting goals in a squad full of superstars, while Cavani struggles, so he shows he can still play a vital part of our season. Possibly the new 5 year deal meant he would be sold this year? That is usually the trick that managers try to bump up a players price.
