The game against Hull marked exactly a year to the day since Walcott last started a game for Arsenal. Since his injury he has played a handful of times off the bench and will need much more time to get back to his best. However, the early signs were there for all to see against Hull. He found himself in some good shooting positions and if he wasn’t so rusty you bet he would’ve scored. It looked as though he still had his electric pace, and his movement for the 75 minutes he was on the pitch was excellent. It will of course take him some time to get his confidence levels back-up, but once he returns to full match fitness I expect to see him firing at all cylinders once more. At 25 he still has so much time to grow into a great player and with the attacking threat around him few would bet against him doing so.
