1. Javi Martinez
Javi Martinez is my personal favourite for a replacement for Arteta. The Spanish international was the Bundesliga’s transfer record when bought by German champions, Bayern Munich, back in 2012. There are reports the 25-year-old is unhappy in Munich and is looking for a way out. He’s an excellent defensive midfielder that is physical, passes, tackles, and reads the game well; he would be a perfect fit next to a more attack-minded and FA-Cup-winning-goal-scorer Aaron Ramsey. He isn’t the quickest, but he certainly has the technical ability to get out of tight spaces and is more mobile than his Spanish-counterpart, Sergio Busquets. His market value is about £30 million and he’d be worth it. Just take a look for yourself here:
