2. Tomas Rosicky
The Czech international is yet to start for Arsenal but has plenty to offer. Tomas offers urgency and experience to an Arsenal team which is likely to be flooded with youngsters. With Arteta and Mertesacker unlikely to feature, he seems like a suitable captain for tomorrow night. I personally hope he starts in the attacking midfield slot and impresses for the Gunners. In a crowded midfield, Rosicky seems to be towards the bottom of the selection order, but Wenger is the first to know of his abilities. He can help guide a young Arsenal side in this competition.
3. Abou Diaby
Diaby has been quietly making his return and has played for the reserves as part of his rehabilitation programme. If he can get to full fitness he will be a very important part of the Arsenal squad. This game represents a chance to integrate him back into first team football. With Arteta and Flamini failing to impress at the base of the Arsenal midfield, getting Diaby back to full fitness would be a huge boost as the Gunners are really lacking a physical presence in that midfield. I’m crossing everything for Abou for this game, I hope he starts and it starts his road to recovery once again.
4. Isaac Hayden
Teenage defender Isaac Hayden is likely to be forced into his first team debut on Tuesday. With a lack of first team cover at the back, Arsene Wenger has to play with Chambers and Hayden at centre back if he is to avoid risking defensive duo Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker. The 19-year-old centre back is also capable of playing in midfield. It will be his first start of the season for the Gunners and certainly a tough test, away against an established Premier League team. He featured briefly against West Brom in the same competition last season.
