Arsenal endured another day to forget when they travelled to Leicester City on Saturday, although without the presence of Laurent Koscielny things could have been a lot worse.
The experienced Frenchman returned to the frame to guide Arsenal’s defence to their first clean sheet of the season. No surprise then, that in a game with no goals, Arsenal’s two highest performing Fantasy Football players were defenders. The Gunners two Spanish full backs were in form, keeping the likes of last seasons PFA Player of the Season, Riyad Mahrez, at bay. So here are Arsenal’s top three players vs. Leicester.
Theo Walcott (8 fantasy points)
3 shots, 2 shots on goal, 2 tackles won, 2 passes intercepted
Nacho Monreal (12 fantasy points)
1 shot, 4 crosses, 1 foul drawn, 1 foul conceded, 2 tackles won, 4 passes intercepted, 1 clean sheet
Hector Bellerin (10 fantasy points)
1 shot, 1 shot on goal, 2 crosses, 1 tackle won, 4 passes intercepted, 1 clean sheet
It was another low scoring week for Arsenal players on DraftKings, not a surprise when you consider the game ended 0-0. Neither team put many of their shots on goal thus resulting in low points for Arsenal’s forwards and goalkeeper Petr Cech, who was forced into just one save. In the EPL $20K Striker the highest owned Arsenal player was Theo Walcott (14.9% owned) followed by Alexis Sanchez (12.9%) (not highest owned overall only in the EPL $20K Striker. Remember to clarify this). Eden Hazard (46.5%) was the highest owned player in the EPL $20K Striker.
Arsenal will need to ensure they balance a solid defence with efficient attacking at the weekend when they travel to Watford in what is surely, considering they are already 5 points behind their title rivals, a must win game for Arsene Wenger and his men. Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil are likely to return to the line up and that could provide a timely boost to the Arsenal attack that faltered so tragically at Leicester recently.
