8 – Jarrod Bowen (Value: £50m)
A couple of weeks ago this transfer rumour popped up on the Twittersphere and I still don’t know whether I like it or hate it.
Jarrod Bowen is currently one of the most talked about English players having recently earned his call-up to the national side for Nations League games against Hungary, Italy and Germany.
Following an impeccable season to single handedly qualify West Ham for the Europa Conference League, Bowen is now starting to think about where his potential could land him.
It’s a transfer that I throw caution to purely because it feels like a knee-jerk reaction to a pretty good campaign that saw the 25-year-old 12 goals and 12 assists in 36 appearances.
He’s a player that you wouldn’t disagree with Arsenal signing, but whether he adds that ‘wow’ factor to the dressing room is a completely different question.
Couple that with the fact he’s English and in the Premier League, you’d be looking at a fee well in the region of £60-£70m to even entertain a conversation at West Ham.
