3 – Noa Lang (Value: £30m)
Currently making a statement at Club Brugge, you’d be forgiven to not know too much about Noa Lang who is very much seen as the cheapest signing on the list.
At 23 years of age the Dutchman has had a topsy turvy career to date going to and from Club Brugge and Ajax on loans before sealing a permanent transfer last summer.
The Belgian side secured the services of Lang just 12 months ago for £5.4m and following a busy campaign in the Jupiler Pro League, he’s now attracting plenty of interest.
That could be good news for all parties involved, with Club Brugge set to make a significant profit on the winger, who would look to be sold for around about £30m.
Lang has featured across all areas of the front three during his short career and wouldn’t be out of place should Arteta wish to use him on the right or the left wing.
Sources across Spanish and English outlets have put Lang as Arteta’s ‘plan B’ should he fail to sign Raphinha, but this is a transfer that would come with an element of risk.
Personal terms wouldn’t be too much of an issue on this one, it’s more a case of whether Arteta and the rest of the recruitment team believe he has what it takes to make the transition to English football.
