Reports: Two players worth €72m Arsenal could sign for free

Arsenal are making moves in the transfer market, but as well as more high-profile, high-value transfers the club are being linked with, there are also two players who will be available for free in the summer that the club have their eyes on.

Whilst Arsenal’s current squad is moving closer to being complete, there is still a big hole on the left side of defence, with Gabriel the only left-footed centre-back the club currently own. N’Dicka is a player that the Gunners have been linked to for a number of years and there is now an opportunity to sign him for nothing in the summer and even agree a pre-contract with him now.

Italian source CalcioMercato says a move to Arsenal for free in the summer is in the pipeline.

Valued at 32million euros, N’dicka is only 23 years old, so it’s a great age to pick up a player on a free transfer, especially one considering one of the best young defenders in Germany.

He’s a towering presence at 6ft 4’ and has even played some games as a left-back in his career, so he gives Arsenal vital depth in defence.

Youri Tielemans

Arsenal held well-documented interest in Tielemans over the summer, but a move never materialised. Tielemans has just six months left on his contract at Leicester, and in a few months Arsenal could agree a deal to sign him for nothing.

Whilst Granit Xhaka’s performances this season have perhaps reduced the need for a midfielder like Tielemans, the club still lack depth in this area. With Champions League football looking very likely for Arsenal next season, they will need depth of the quality of Tielemans and this deal just makes sense.

Tielemans is 25-year-old and valued at 40million euros by transfermarkt, so would be another shrewd pickup.

Journalist Charles Watts, whilst speaking on his YouTube channel after the game said: “Will they make a move for long-term target Youri Tielemans? That’s one that might well rumble on during the January window.

“Six months left on his contract potentially could get him for a pretty decent fee if Leicester decide to sell or to see if Arsenal do sort of rekindle their interest in him.”
