Arsenal transfers: Bissouma swap deal, Xhaka ‘really close’ to €25m exit & Guendouzi update

Throughout the summer we will be bringing you the latest Arsenal transfer news from across Europe. Find the latest below.

Nketiah lined up for swap deal to sign Yves Bissouma

According to ‘Latest Brighton’ Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah is on the shortlist for Brighton this summer. Graham Potter’s men have played some really good football but crucially have lacked end product. If there’s one thing Nketiah is good at, it’s getting on the end of things and he may well find a good fit at Brighton. The Gunners will be open to selling Eddie, with Folarin Balogun now thought to be ahead of him in the pecking order since signing a new deal.

It creates the potential for Arsenal to perhaps use Nketiah in a deal to sign Yves Bissouma. Bissouma is widely expected to leave the club this summer and the Gunners have been heavily linked. Bissouma’s asking price was thought to be set at around £30million, but including Nketiah in a deal may see that figure half. At Nketiah plus £15million, it’s certainly a deal Arsenal should be looking to do.

Granit Xhaka ‘really close’ to 25million exit

According to
Gianluca Di Marzio, a reputable source in Italy, Arsenal have set a 25million euro asking price for Granit Xhaka this summer. The Swiss midfielder has just two years left on his current contract and it appears that the time has come for player and club to part ways. Granit has been one of the teams best players this season, but that’s not a brilliant accolade to have given the on field performances. It seems like this summer will be a time where Arsenal completely rip up their midfield and start again. And according to the report from Gianluca, it is Jose Mourinho’s Roma that are in prime position to secure the signing.

Marseille interested in signing Matteo Guendouzi

It’s no secret that Arsenal are not particularly keen on keeping Guendouzi around. He’s had a mixed spell on loan at Hertha Berlin and is now set to return to the club. It seems though that Arsenal are keen to sell him before pre-season kicks off. According to La Provence (via Sport Witness) Marseille have an interest in signing him. No fee is mentioned in the report from France, but you’d expect Arsenal may settle a sale somewhere between the £10million-£20million mark. Guendouzi is valued at £18million on transfermarkt.
