2 – Julian Draxler
Arsenal desperately need to make attacking signings and although Draxler is not an out and out striker, he is a productive attacking player. A powerful young player, Draxler’s height of 6ft 2′ would make him a very useful attacking weapon and give the club something a little different. Draxler’s inconsistency would frustrate fans, but aged just 22, it is clear that he could be an extremely good player. It’s hard to see him arriving with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Iwobi, Joel Campbell and even Serge Gnabry currently at the club. If Draxler were to arrive you would expect at least one of those young wingers would depart, or even Theo Walcott. The reported figure of £55million is far too high, Wolfsburg paid around £30million just a year ago and would probably take a £10million profit on that, with the club seemingly open to selling the German international.
Likelihood: Like Higuain, it worries me that this Draxler rumour originated from a very reliable source, but like Higuain again, it is been backed up by better sources since. Unlike Higuain, Wolfsburg seem to have admitted the player may be allowed to leave, making this one much more likely.. 5/10Â
