Agent: Striker ‘very likely’ to move to Premier League as Arsenal table offer

Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their attempts to bring in a new striker in recent days.

Arsenal have already been linked with a move for Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca and now talks with intermediaries have already taken place, with  Arsenal now preparing to make an official approach to Sassuolo according to Graeme Bailey on the Talking Transfer Podcast. Graeme added that the  Arsenal scouts have been glowing in their praise of the Italy international, who stands at 6ft 5’ and presents himself as a very different option to other strikers linked with a move to The Emirates.

What type of striker is Scamacca?

In a recent video, Oli Price-Bates  (PB) looked at what type of striker he is, where his strengths and weaknesses lie and whether or not he’d be a good signing for Arsenal. Watch the video below.

Italian Super-agent Roberto De Fanti has gone one step further, suggesting an offer has already been placed: “Arsenal made an offer to Sassuolo for Scamacca in the last couple of days. The club’s general manager also said that it is very likely the striker will leave to play in the Premier League” he said.

How interested Arsenal really are remains to be seen. Italian media notoriously like to link English clubs to their players, before they eventually move elsewhere in Serie A.

Scamacca, who is still aged just 23, scored 16 Serie A goals in his 25 starts and 11 sub-apps this season for Sassuolo.
