Arsenal are moving like crazy in the last few hours to try and strengthen their squad.
The Gunners are set to confirm the arrival of Leandro Trossard and look like they will follow that up with the arrival of Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior, but they are not done there. Mikel Arteta has reportedly convinced a much coveted La Liga star to join Arsenal ahead of the likes of Newcastle and Real Madrid.
According to El Des Marque, Arsenal have taken advantage of Real Madrid’s hesitance and pounced to sign Ivan Fresneda.
The report that Mikel Arteta has personally convinced Fresneda to choose Arsenal, and he will take a flight to London in the next few days. Everything is ‘practically closed’ with the this deal, and it only remains to be seen if he will join immediately, or if they will bet on keeping him on loan in Spain until the end of the year, so that he can continue accumulating experience.

Fresneda would take the place of Cedric Soares in the squad. The Portuguese international is set to join Fulham and is frequently omitted from Arsenal’s matchday squad and not trusted in the first team due to how different in style he is to White. Fresneda, whilst still being a teenager, could provide more of an option to rest White when required.
