Arsenal continued their fine home form with a fantastic win against West Ham United to move into the top four.
The Gunners were excellent in the first half, but were frustrated by an excellent defensive display from West Ham. The home side continued attacking with confidence in the second half though and got their reward just a few minutes in when captain Lacazette slotted it through for Martinelli who curled his finish round round Fabianski, Thierry Henry style.
Arsenal then rode their luck when Coufal received a second yellow and gave away a penalty for a challenge that saw him get the ball, but he did follow through on Lacazette in the box. Perhaps justice was served when Fabianski excellently saved Alexandre’s penalty.
Arsenal made sure of the points when Bukayo Saka found sub Emile Smith Rowe on the break, who slammed home with his left foot.

Man of the match: Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian kept his spot ahead of the fit again Emile Smith Rowe, and he repaid the managers faith with an excellent work rate throughout and a goal. Mention for Saka who was excellent, unlucky not to score!
Flop of the match: Nobody worthy of this title in this game.
