4 – Choose His Best XI
There was never any secret to Leicester’s surprise success in the Premier League, in fact it was just about how little they changed that won them the league.
If Wenger is going to have any chance of getting a head-start on his rivals then establishing a favourite XI should be top of the list for a number of reasons.
With a regular selected XI there’s even more chance of players fighting their way into the side, competition soon becomes a lot more fierce as places become harder to hold down.
I don’t think Wenger knew his best XI last season because people kept dipping in and out of form, so how many games do you leave it until that player gets dropped?
Walcott was given countless attempts over the consistent Joel Campbell out on the right-wing, but Wenger doesn’t go with form he simply believes he knows the best player for the opposition.
It’s time to rip up the rule book and begin to start players who are performing to their very best ability in either training or when they get subbed on.
Of course Wenger has the best intentions of the club at heart, but if we are to see a different mentality at the club then no place can be questioned, there should always be a ‘best XI’.
