A stat Arsenal fans are all too familiar with is the fact that the Gunners topped the table for 128 days last term, more than any other side, but couldn’t see their season out too the end.
However, this year could be their year as they have experience in winning trophies and of competing in a title race. The performance yesterday showed Arsenal can compete with the big boys, that Arteta can do a good job, that Giroud is decent and that the new signings have settled in superbly.
This all adds up to one fact- Arsenal are contenders. They have the players, they have the squad, they have the manager. Everything is in place for Arsenal to win their first Premier League trophy this decade. The Emirates is set for a glorious season ahead, while numerous sections of the media are set to be silenced.
