5 – Julian Draxler
A wildcard option? I know he’s not a striker but he has the right attributes to be one. Many have compared him to Robin van Persie and he could take a similar path in his career. van Persie was also originally a wide player and number 10. Draxler is a bit inconsistent but he has a very high ceiling and could be one of the best in Europe in the future, so he may well be worth the investment. A £43million price has been reported. He turns 23 in September and already has 24 caps for his country. As we say at the European Championships he can be a bit erratic but his 6ft 2′ frame and natural ability make him a very useful weapon and perhaps an ideal future number 9.
