2 – Alvaro Morata
Madrid’s desperation to get involved in the chase for Paul Pogba could see them compromise on their reported £65million valuation of Alvaro Morata. At that price, he is no way worth the money, but if Arsenal could get talks going for less than £50million, it may become more valuable. The Spaniard has been a hot prospect in the past few years, with memorable performances in the Champions League and Italian league. His stock is high at the moment after scoring 3 goals for Spain at Euro 2016. He is already 23 and has lots of experience, but he has struggled to score prolifically at any point in his career- that’ll be a concern for Arsenal fans. The Gunners already have a very good striker, but they need to add someone that is more clinical to their strikeforce. Morata does have potential, but will his arrival win Arsenal the title next season? That seems unlikely.
