Every man and his dog knows that Arsenal need a new striker this summer and there doesn’t appear to be too much happening on that front at the moment. The Gunners need to act soon and get a new frontman in ahead of the new season, especially with rivals strengthening so much. It is important Arsenal get a striker in this month (July) so they are ready for the new season. We take a look at five strikers available now.
1 – Alexandre Lacazette
The striker most commonly linked with a move to Arsenal over the last few weeks, Lacazette is a pacey, clinical, but overall inconsistent striker. Arsenal are being asked to pay over £40million for him and Wenger is reportedly hesitant – you can understand why, but with limited options in the market Wenger may well have to take a chance. Lacazette  plays the Arsenal way and as well as pace a key strength of his is his passing, with the striker managing a 78% pass completion last season. Lacazette has thrived creatively for Lyon and manager 1.22 key passes per 90 minutes last season which is very impressive, and is in fact superior to all of Arsenal’s current centre-forwards. 5ft 9′ Lacazette has scored 72 goals in 173 appearances for Lyon, but he has only been capped 10 times for France – and was left out of their Euro 2016 squad.
