2. The rise of Aaron Ramsey:
Before his horrific leg break Aaron Ramsey was touted as the next big prospect to come out of Arsenal. Unfortunately though, his injury kept him out for more than a year and it took him a long time to regain his confidence. At the start of the 12/13 campaign his performances were still not convincing and certain sections of the Arsenal fans lost faith in him, hurling abuse left, right and centre. However, he turned things around and was the key man in our run in, helping us to retain a spot in the top 4 once more. At the stat of the 13/14 season, more was expected of him, but what he produced was truly mind blowing. In total he started 30 games, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists for his team-mates. There is no question that he was our player of the season, and had he not been injured at such a pivotal point, we maybe could’ve achieved even more. His change of performance has been remarkable. 18 months ago he was the forgotten man but now he is the first name on the team-sheet, and will be key to what Arsenal achieve in the future.
